Try to add a Background image in blender (Reference image), it will make things much easier.
I had to split the model into 4 parts so I can have more freedom editing each mesh, and when its done ,I merged them to one.
Do start with hard to make models like human character , go for simple hats/props or objects.

Just as a note, Blender will only get you so far. It's very amateur; you're better off with 3DS Max with modelling expertise, as you can get a certification for that kind of shit.

Yeah i know about that. Im actuelly working on a Tonfa blade. I sorta got stuck on a part thats really hard to make.

If you talking about the handle:
make a circle mesh in object mode > Delete 3/4 of it> add Mirror modifier in x/y (to make it full again) but don't apply it until you are done> you will be working on the 1/4 part of the circle and it will help you make as much details as you like in 1/4 of the time.

Oh no, i already did the handle. Its the part that connects the blade WITH the handle thats a problem. (im doing my best to get a perfect shape)
