very interesting. i wonder if b/w or a different tint would be an improvement? while it is a wonderfully composed image I can't help but keep thinking it's just a photo of the cold off-gray concrete ground.

Ultracool! I love roadsigns and this image just captures it amazingly. GOSH, I just see you're using the Nikon E5000 ?! Don't you find it a rather frustrating beast? It's my 2nd in Command Camera (currently upgraded to Canon G6) but I find the Nikon great for macro work, esp. flowers. For the rest it's a dog... very poor colour representation, in my experience. Anyway... sorry about all this diatribe. All I meant to say was FINE JOB.

Yes, you're absolutely right... but fear not! In the meantime Nikon have announced their new model, out sometime December - Nikon D200 [link] Now THAT's worth looking into. Oh, how I wish I had a money tree in the back garden :-/
