They are both great. I agree that the eyes are far apart in the first one, but I actually like that one. Of course, your 'after' is better, but they ARE drawn in kinda different styles. Either way, CUTE.

Wow. I'm 14 right now and I draw but not alot. Do you think I'll get as good as you one day? If so, how often should I draw/practice?

Of course you could get as good as this one day! <3 You need to draw a ton. That's not an insult or anything; everyone who wants to seriously improve in their artistic ability needs to draw as much as possible to get better. I'm not even close to where I want to be, so I know I need to draw every spare chance I get, and draw from life as much as possible. You do a lot of life-drawing in college @u@;;

I actually avoid the water tool XD;; I just use the regular ol' brush the whole time :'D The water tool is really awesome and it does make stuff look pretty, but to me it's kinda like the computer equivalent of just smudging all your shading when you're drawing using a pencil. Like, when you smudge-shade, it's kinda like just taking the easy way out. Personally I think that my drawings look more... lively? when I bother to do it by hand, and then I also have more control... if that makes sense?

it forms with the colors around it. i always found that
frustrating, but now that i think of it it might be helpful.

Yup! I do like sharp edges for some things, but then I just use the pen tool to get the dark color in there and blend it a bit with the brush so it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb XD
