For a long time, I have been going through your (wonderfully breath taking) art work, and have finally decided to favorite this piece. Why, well to keep this short, this was one of the first of, not only your art, but the Snarry world too. It is simple, but holds such deep meaning, that the words on Harry's arm tell just as much a story as Severus tattooed/scared arm. Just. Lovely.

This is so great! The scars through the dark mark are possibly my favorite, but the words on Harry's arms just make this picture all the more touchingly sad. I'm going to favorite this and then not favorite anything else for a long while, just so it can stay on the top of my favorites.

I have this strange feeling that this was inspired by a fanfiction I've read, but I can't for the life of me remember it, the title tiggers a bit of memory too.
I think it was one where Harry becomes Snape's cat for a while in the begining... it turned into this massive heavy multiple story arc.

I'm not sure I've read Bittersweet Potion & sequels back when I drew this but remember similar novel-length fandom classics leaving an impression... Sushi's Civil War, Cybele's IYAP, Telanu's stuff. I guess it was a combo of several works.

Ah I've looked that one up, it wasn't that one. I went through a rather frenzied phase of reading too much HP fanfiction for my own good @_@, I'm very sure there was one where they were both self-inflicting or such, and Snape assisted him recovering, and such. And then I remember Snape writing on Harry with a red ink or something. But I can barely remember.
I think I must be getting like seven fanfics mixed up in my head. -_-'

I don't know if this is still of interest: but could it be "Quill and Ink" or the prequel "Something to Write On"? They are both Harry Potter fanfictions with Harry and Snape as main characters. This is absolutely my favorite Snarry image. And while the canon freak in me rages about "I will not tell lies" being on Harry's arm, the poetic art critic dances around because it just works SO WELL with Snape's Dark Mark there.

This must have taken quite some time, the details are awesome!
Well defined strong hands, tenderly touching. They practically speak of two powerful men who are obviously romantically involved. The snakes tail is well done and the cuts covering it give the impression that the person is not fond of that particular part of his history (which would fit Severus nicely) or with his life altogether.
You called the picture "Lessons Learned" but I am not so sure about that. After all everything form "I will not tell lies" to "fall in love" is crossed out as if denying the truth of the words... at a second thought this could work as a checklist and everything he is through is crossed out... it could also be their story... anyway absolutely awesome!!

I love this picture!!! It's been my desktop (the copy with the title underneath it) for a good 2 months now, and i still can get over the amount of effort that has gone into it! The detail is amazing, and i love how even though you can only see their hands, you can see the tenderness thay feel for each other, with Severus tending to protect Harry, atleast, thats my interpretation, feel free to correct me if i'm wrong. Keep up the good work, i'll have to check out some more soon
