Soft brushed metals in pastel tones...great texture once again as well as attention to the details.

Thank you! I just play with all the knobs and buttons in the UCL and the more there are, the more I can play!!

Yep, I do UF like that, too! But some of the really good UCL's just have a few choices. I just have to figure out what people whose fractals I like are using. eh?

That's why I try to tell people which ucls I used in the images I upload. I have the same urge to figure out what people used so I can play with the same formulas and see what I can come up with.

Sumpin' like. I will occasionally tell people what ucl's I use, though I don't usually. Sometimes I tell other people what ucl's THEY used.

Yep, I can recognize some ucls now after using UF a couple of years. Some still are a mystery to me and unless the artist mentions what they used, or I get up the nerve to ask, I just have to explore till I find something that looks close. I saw a shape in some of Linda Allison's fractals that I just fell in love with. I asked, but she couldn't send me any info on that one because she was selling the print. But, I saw in one of her other postings at Renderosity where she mentioned that she loved Doodads II. I played and played with that ucl till I finally found the shape. That was so much fun just doing all the detective work!

Haven't played with Doodads much. But I am totally in love with Gumbykat's fractals, so I shall definitely play with it! Thanks!

Beautiful and technical perfection as always, Mary! I love the muted palette and textures, and more power to you for delving into trapestry!

Thanks! Subscribe to the UF mailing list and learn a lot from the folks there. Play, play, and play some more.
Actually, Joseph Maddry's ucl Trapestry has so many coloring options that it is a really cool one to learn to use.

Superb gradient and texture use. Love the metalic feel it has.
