Description It's been a long time since my last download. I have not been able to create anything new, but found this unfinished fractal back in my files. This is totally made with UF except for a little sharpening and the sig in The Gimp.

I particularly like the floral border. Is that the sort of thing UltraFractal does? Can it make them square, or do they have to fit the shape of the fractal?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

FireLilyFractals In reply to swirlythingy [2007-11-27 00:20:44 +0000 UTC]

Thank you! A border like this follows the shape of the fractal which can be varied to be more square. There are ways to make other types of borders which are perfectly square, round, diamond, or any other shape you like. UF is highly versatile and is limited only by your skills and imagination.

Very beautiful! I'm not sure what it's supposed to represent, but it makes me think of parting the leaves in a flower garden, only to discover a portal into another dimension...a dimension where the caves are made of clouds and filled with water. Intriguing concept!

gorgeous!! your work and tutorials were what first introduced me to deviantart. I was so inspired by what I saw. You've helped me so much. I want to take this opportunity to say thank-you for sharing some of your fractal wisdom. It went a long way in helping me develop such fractals like cnaye in my gallery. once again, thanks!!!!

So beautiful, Mary! I love the flowers and leaves. Straight from a fairy tale!

Funny, I was just on your website working on your first tutorial (which is great, btw!) a few minutes ago, and I was wondering where you were. I was actually looking on your site for some inspiration because I've been in a bit of a slump myself.

I will be posting a somewhat polished piece from those tutorial techniques in the next day or so.

Thanks so much Jenn! I am so glad to hear that my tutorials are inspiring you. I have been very busy with teaching and grading papers. It hasn't left much time for creating fractals. I still spend time looking at fractal art and look forward to your new postings.

I know how life can get crazy. I'm thankful that I've had some time recently to do some fractals, though. Here's what I came up with:
