Introducing the Northside Station. Northside is responsible for covering the far north end of the city. The area is mostly one and two story homes, light commercial and many convenience stores. Northside is a sleepy little firehouse that houses Engine 3, Water Tower 2 and the North District Chief. While not overly busy, Northside has a rich history of fire fighting activity. Northside for many years has been cited for their actions and bravery on some of the cities most significant fires and emergencies. Just recently the crew from Water Tower 2 received a unit citation for the quick thinking that resulted in the successful rescue of a teenager who fell 30 feet into an old production shaft and was severely injured.

Before the hiring of additional personnel and the city reactivating closed companies, Northside operated a single combination company, Water Tower 2. With additional funds and the restructuring of the fleet and operations divisions, the former Engine 6 (Industrial District) was permanently closed and Engine 3 was reactivated. In July of 2023, the North District Chief was also reactivated and quartered in the Northside firehouse. The Industrial District now receives fire protection from a private fire brigade and mutual aid from city and county units.

Northside, just like their brothers and sisters to the south, are very involved in their first due area. When not showing up to support the Central and Eastside stations, Northside hosts an annual town football game that helps raise money for the boys and girls club, a carnival that raises money for cancer research and can be seen supporting various community groups during the year.
