Description Tryptophan [trip - tuh - fan] - n. an essential amino acid, (C8H6N)CH2CH(NH2)COOH, colorless, crystalline, and aromatic, released from proteins by tryptic digestion and a precursor of serotonin.

Naturally, Sam doesn't eat turkey, so she's a little more awake than her boys. *^_^*

I guess we can call this Firestar9mm's Holiday Piece. I had wanted to have it done in time for Thanksgiving, but the bones didn't fall that way. Still, people eat turkey for the rest of the holiday season, don't they?

I hope everyone's holidays, whatever they celebrate, are happy ones. I'm determined to make mine so!

I am thankful for Danny, Sam and Tucker, because they make me smile. I'm also very, very thankful for Mr. Butch Hartman, who does the same with his art, his humor, and his generosity in sharing it.

In the words of one of my fellow Drummers:

"Tryptophan is EVERYBODY'S best friend!"

Not sure why she said that, it was after a night of roughly 4 1/2 hours of sleep in which we had the march the next day.

ANYWAY, cute holiday picture!

Thank you! You honor me. So glad you like it!

I'm not sure about the tryptophan...I don't even eat meat, and I passed out COLD after Thanksgiving dinner XD

Hahaaa, I went to bed at like, 8:30 after dinner. And we had dinner at 7, too. Although it could have been the 4 hours of sleep I got the night before... I was up late getting shaving cream and flour thrown at me.

Maybe tryptophan isn't just in the meat. Maybe it like, gets absorbed into the air.

You can ignore me

Shaving cream and flour + turkey = It's like you combined Halloween and Thanksgiving together to make some super-holiday!

Hmmm...I never thought about tryptophan-osmosis--maybe everyone else's exhaustion was absorbed through my skin and...hell, I'm getting tired just thinking about this XD

Hehe. I like the stylized turkey. The background looks very canonical and I like the feeling of peace ^_^

XD I was so proud of that stupid turkey....I was so tired and yet I was like "no goshdarnit, I am going to put some DEPTH in this picture...." Then I realized I don't know how to draw turkeys. XD Even dead ones.

I actually was really pleased with the background. I love all the greys in the Fenton living room because it doesn't overpower the characters.

Thanks for the kind words! Today at work was remembering the Canonical Wild Monkey People of Haven Forest and had a thought, "Oh corks, I hope if I ever create badfic or badart that someone tells me and Krin lampoons me as I deserve." XD

Ahahahaa XD

I got "poop!Torn" (yes, with exclamation point) stuck in my head at work the other day (it's in a bash somewhere with an OOC Torn). Bwa.

I've never heard anyone say, "oh corks!" before. XF It reminds me of a line from HP. I think it was Ron: "It's really quite CORKING to see you." That cracked me and my sister up.

NO NOT TOOOORRRRRRRNNNNNNN XD

The Long Patrol hares in the Redwall books always say "Oh corks!" I love those hares. XD

I have a probably dumb question--I love the exclamation!points as spacers, but what does it mean? I find myself writing that in emails and notes as if I knew what it meant, but I realize I should probably figure it out before I do it again. Whoops!

TheButterfly In reply to Firestar9mm [2006-12-01 00:09:06 +0000 UTC]

Haha. Yeah, I had no idea what they were. I asked Skerries a while ago. She said something like-

the first word is a modifier for the second. It's basically adjective!noun. (why you can't just say "adjective noun" I'm not sure. maybe it's not internetty enough.) I've noticed its use is waning. Instead of "bad!fic," now you'll see "badfic."

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Firestar9mm In reply to TheButterfly [2006-12-01 00:49:54 +0000 UTC]

I don't know, I may have to be uncool and keep on with it, cause I really get a bang out of those exclamation points. I can't keep up with the internet anyway.

Badfic, however, will always remain badfic, no matter how it's spelled.

Ooh! *raises hand suddenly, pick me!* had two questions for you. 1) did anything ever come of Jazz's biology studies? Also: 2) May I borrow the term "homonym smash" for a future sketch (if my lazy paws ever finish it?

1) Unfortunately, nothing really has happened for that fic idea >.>

2) Yes! But! I have learned something. thier/there/they're aren't homonyms, they're homophones. Oopsie. I am planning to go back and fix all the bashes that say homonym smash. Doh! XF

Aha, I understand totally when creativity just blows a fuse abruptly. Still, I will wait forever for any Krin writage, be it fic or ficbash. Oh, how I will wait. I will wait till your children are wrinkled and gassy.

DEFINITION SMASH!

Homonym =/= homophone

XD I'll have to remember that. If I ever manage to get this piece or the J&D practice piece I'm working on in the gallery, you have every right to shoot me.

I can really picture this as a part of an episode, maybe with danny waking up and sam then blushing... I love it when a picture turns out to be almost a scene from an episode, it feels like there is a whole different episode which i can build up in my head, i sometimes even storyboard my "fake" episodes if i like what i come up with. any chance of a storyboard episode from you any time?

Firestar9mm In reply to Rogue-Butterfly-db [2006-11-29 06:45:30 +0000 UTC]

Thank you That is quite the compliment to these ears.

Help fix a fox's brain. What do you mean by storyboard episode? Like, illustrating an episode I've come up with myself?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Rogue-Butterfly-db In reply to Firestar9mm [2006-11-30 06:26:44 +0000 UTC]

Yah, i dont explain myself very well do i
What i mean is coming up with an entire episode in your head, and then drawing the key scenes in a comic-book style format, either with or without text/speech (this is also the stage before they animate in the real cartoons).

so, any chance of a storyboard from ya? i'd love to see that.

Firestar9mm In reply to Rogue-Butterfly-db [2006-11-30 11:59:15 +0000 UTC]

That sounds like fun. It's possible I suppose, although I'd probably do that first for a fic--I am not sure how good I'd be coming up with actual episodes. If I had the time right now I'd do it, but it might end up a Saturday Errand or two. Right now I'm chasing away the ends of a migraine, I shouldn't even be going to work but I have to.

Rogue-Butterfly-db In reply to Firestar9mm [2006-12-01 11:12:27 +0000 UTC]

Is there anything in particular that sets your migranes off? mine are set off by dairy, and are accompanied by a loss of vision and/or tunnel vision, be very careful if thats what happens to you, i nearly got run over the last time i went out when i had a migrane.

I know what you mean about time, currently so busy with uni that i had to quit my job, and i still don't have enough time!

We're beginning to think it's a vitamin deficiency. I am an anaemic vegetarian on birth control, which means I have three strikes against me for both vitamin B and iron. I'm going out to get some supplements tomorrow and hopefully things will improve. I'm sick of being dizzy, my eyes unfocusing, and my temperature spiking uncontrollably.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Rogue-Butterfly-db In reply to Firestar9mm [2006-12-02 22:49:10 +0000 UTC]

I take it you have all of the paraphernalia and advice on this stuff, instant react temperature patches, monitoring how much water is in your system etc? i used cool down pads during the exams because i have a medical condition which results in stress=body temperature spikes. hydration helps with my migranes, as do the suppliments that i take, apparently the spikes are my body's reaction to my mild heart defect, but human biology was never my strong point so i have to take the doc's word on it.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Firestar9mm In reply to Rogue-Butterfly-db [2006-12-03 01:57:33 +0000 UTC]

....Temperature patches? Actually, no, I hadn't gotten a professional opinion on it yet I am definitely not a fan of doctors or hospitals (bad hospital experience on my twenty-second birthday) and I'm only working off the diagnoses of others who've experienced similar symptoms.

You know, I hadn't thought that my heart condition might have something to do with it, too. That's entirely possible.

Rogue-Butterfly-db In reply to Firestar9mm [2006-12-03 09:29:21 +0000 UTC]

sorry, i was referring to Endo-thermic reaction pads, the ones that you break a seal and then they get really cold really fast, usually used for cold/flu symptoms, i find them a handy way of stopping the shakes caused by my overheating.

I have many reasons to dislike doctors too, for instance when i was taking roaccutaine erithromycin and trimithroprin for a simple case of acne they never told me that my skin could still be messed up even now, 2 years after ceasing treatment. However, i do find that they can get useful painkillers etc. from them, and thats why i go, even after this long without improvement on my conditions
