thank you! ^^ I use photoshop 7.0, but pixel art can be done in any program with a pencil tool.

Oh, hey, changing the white outline to a pale blue, yet still white at a lighter point really added demention! So the majority of the illusion is in the colors? It's so complicated to me. XD Yet seeing it step by step is simple. How on earth do you undertand what tones go where? *examines your pixel gemn and the Sims's plumbob, lol*

Why is there a small version in a circle of each step? :3

so you can see what it looks like at actual scale. The bigger version is 'blown up' so you can actually see what's going on.

So you can see how it looks zoomed out. Just because you're making the pixel/picture up close doesn't mean it'll look the same from far away.

How do you pick the colors for the anti-alias? I always have trouble getting that right. XD
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
firstfear In reply to zara-leventhal [2012-06-15 20:07:04 +0000 UTC]
anti alias colours should already be a part of the palette .
Example:
Your palette has 5 colours.
when colour 1 is beside colour 3 you would use colour 2 to anti alias between them.
