Couple friends of mine and some guys from Game Artisans call me sometimes "man", so I was always thinking that "man" din't show a sex anymore, if you mean that I called you "man"

No, it can be used that way. But usually it's with people who have known each other a while or used in real life so that the person knows what context your using it in.
