I've been meaning to try SAI or OC4, all I've been using so far is OC1. Thanks to this, I now know what that diagonal line thingy in OC's little pen tool box, so that's some help right off the bat. As for shaky hand stuff, I have that happen quite a bit, since I can't seem to get the hang of doing quick strokes, so I just go slowly to get the line to look as smooth as I can, which doesn't work much.

Faving like the fist of the north star.
I should really use my OC more. Photoshit bribes me with candy, and I fucking love candy.

Ok, I understand the curve of OC for changing how the pressure works, but how does one do this in SAI?
Also, what version are you using? I see a few differences between mine (mostly wording and layout, but still): [link]
Are you considering the linework layer-type to be vectors? It's not bad if you spend a little time playing with the weights, and if you plan on up/down scaling the image at all. Understandably cheap in terms of practice though.

I think I'm using a beta copy of it, I'm not sure though.
I'm not using the vector tool on this.
As for changing the pressure on Sai, I'm not really sure, as this is just how it comes out on mine. I think messing with the diamter percentage changes it though

Not gonna lie, I'm probably gonna stick with my photoshop pen tool method, but it's still nice to see how other people do it. I'll give it a shot.

it helps a little. though i need to look for a way to do pressure in SAI, i've seen tutorials for that and i just don't know.
if someone whines about their lineart in there comments, i'm linking them to this.

if the brush/point is already a small size the pressure won't make much of a difference.

i usually try everything with size 20 or larger.
i got it to work but my cursor now acts funny in SAI.

I am not even sure how a tablet works, but Gimp and Paint.Net both work pretty will with just a mouse. xD;

Nope, you don't. It just gives you much better results, but SAI has pressure tools that can be used with the mouse.
