ANOTHER good reason to observe and LEARN from the humans, instead of just converting them.
Arrogantly (from the human POV) converting human is NOT going to help. Talking and trust MIGHT.

They really shouldn't be panicking about their relatively low numbers unless they are in the middle of an intergalactic war with a strong enemy*. In a peaceful state, they could last millennia before the lower numbers START being a problem.

*Who COULD shoot their ship down and make it crash on earth... And now THEY and the HUMANS have to deal with each other...to survive and defeat the other (robotic?) enemy.

They'd likely need to convert pregnant women, babies, and children just to get a better understand of how those stages of development would work for living machines.

I don't follow. I thought this was a race of only female robots? I do think it would be interesting for a male to integrate without being turned completely though.
