I think I ended up making this a bit more macabre than I'd originally intended (in fact I almost entered this on the 'macabre' category instead of 'fantasy'
, but hey, it's all good. Besides, the whole concept of this contest was 'impaired', as in the trouble that so many people have in the world, and that's just not a sparkly, pretty idea to me.Entry to the bi-monthly contest

I think you really caught the idea of impairment in your picture, it looks fantastic. Love the dark atmosphere and tension in the picture

I really like the darker feeling that you took with this piece. As you said, being impaired is very often not pretty, and you've really created a nice reminder of that.

A lot of the ones I'd seen were shiny and pretty so I felt I needed to do something darker since impairment is anything but. Wish I'd had the talent to make it shine through a bit more but I like the mood that came out and am very happy that you did too ^_^

It is a little dark, but I wouldn't put it in 'macabre' either. Great job on this! I really like how you did the glass shards.
