I may be a little blind or a little stupid, but what's the difference in step 3 and step 4? ;3;

Nice but can you explain how you made some parts thicker and some skinnier plZ ;-;

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

FleshQB In reply to Vezzed [2020-02-02 02:11:57 +0000 UTC]

I do it by hand, add some more by the corners and erase some by the stretched out parts.

It takes some time but ita worth it in my opintion

Also not that if you do the begin sketch lines lightly you wont have to erase anything- just make the corners thicker.

Hope that helps!

This looks neat! I'm currently in the process of trying this tutorial out, but I don't know how to add the luminosity to get the FX displayed in the tutorial. I had set the layer to luminosity, but it turned the lightning drawing I had to a grey color.

Can you please explain exactly how it's done?

FleshQB In reply to ShadowDragonKing9 [2019-06-05 08:30:49 +0000 UTC]

Thanks! If you use photoshop you should probably use the overlay layer or the colour dodge layer for the luminosity effect.

I just realised I wrote it down wrong and the luminosity layer in photoshop does a different effect than the luminosity layer in SAI
Thanks for pointing it out to me!

FleshQB In reply to HardCoreCrocomire [2018-08-03 20:08:25 +0000 UTC]

Mostly yes, though the layer settings could have a different name in the SAI program.

Kind of awkward having a character with lightning manipulation powers, but having no clue on how to get the effect.
