I'm actually not accustomed with how to critique a body painting piece, it's such a unique and distinctive medium, and I'm strangely mesmerized with it. But everything about this seems to work beautifully. The lovely model, the empty black background, the perfect glow and texture of skin around the edges and at highlights, the black areas that would come across as negative space if viewed abstractly and not as a human form. The growth of the flowers and their conformity to the skin are of course a major focal point. I assumed at first that they were painted as well, but their blending into the hair makes me wonder if they were a projection? Or, conversely, just carried out very very carefully. Regardless, I think it works amazingly, and is largely what makes this such a successful piece.
And i also didn't notice until writing this that there's a set of eyes peering through on the surface of the arm, which only serves to amplify my fascination with the entire piece haha.
