Wow! I like this tutorial! I know how to draw the procyonids, for my upcoming RP-group, the Pachycephalohyaenas(the fictional animals who are hybrids between the procyonid-hyaenid hybrids and the pachycephalosaur dinosaurs. I.E.G., the pachycephalohyaena is like Proteles cristatus + Procyon lotor X Stegoceras validum, this equals the Roof-Horned Pachycephalohyaena as an example.), like coatimundis, raccoons, ringtails, olingos, and kinkajous for example.

I love little tutorials like this and it's gone right into my reference picture folder (subfolder: Raccoons).  I myself like to make raccoon montages and print them out, because having a printout with images of various angles of a raccoon's face is nicer for me than looking at the screen on my phone.

And that does sound quite helpful

I'd post them here but I might get dinged for copyright infringement since they are all just images picked up on Google. Here's my reference montage folder on FA.  I recommend not straying from there because most of my stuff is fetishy and adult.

Ouch, poor Derpcoon! She's got "somewhere a biologist is crying" all over her derpy-teared face and I swear that's one way to compel artists to draw animals right. XD  As someone who draws a fair bit of anthro animals but has very little certified knowledge of biology, this is actually great stuff. I remember tripping up on the digitigrade legs in non-anthro designs from time to time, as I hadn't thought of their purpose. I didn't even know what a "plantigrade" was until I saw this. Really, I think I could learn a lot from tutorials like this. :3

I think this is probably the best tutorial for a digital artist who is online. The volume of resources available to use a reference material is practically infinite, and much of it is public domain or royalty-free, with the royalty being "Please mention my resource."
Very well done! You are observant and have "widevision"!

Very nice tutorial. I do like how they look in the beginning though, it's as if they're trying to stand at all.
And is that drool?

I think of note too, is that raccoons can look *very* rotund. They aren't necessarily fat, they're very fluffy or at least have quite thick fur. And the only time you really see their body shape is when they're either emaciated, or soaking wet.

The ones that live around my area have occasionally stolen our grapes (all the grapes. all of them. off the vines we have that cover the back porch... all. the. grapes.) and are rather round by way of actually eating a LOT. They walk like they're tables with motion
