Hi, those models won't work in VRChat, they were made for cinematic only. So they're very un-optimized

I know how to decimate and alter models. Not able to make my own though. no talent.Β Β

It's nothing to do with talent. Its about spending the effort to learn while others just watch series or do nothing.

Some people are just incapable of doing things. It's hard to accept but that's just life. I've been using blender for years and every time I open it I've forgotten EVERYTHING I learned the last time I used it. I followed tutorials and read all the guides. It all didn't make any impact on my ability to use the program. I can follow instructions to get to a displayed result on a video or to use some of what's said on unrelated things but in the end I just can't memorize any of it and thus cannot make improvements. It sucks but it's just how I am.
It piss's me off when people just say "Put some effort into learning" Like shit man no one has any god damn sense of altruism or generosity anymore.
Sorry I'm not actually mad or anything like that I'm just using strong language to emphasize my point..Β

No worries. I can imagine that's a frustrating thing to hear.Β
And I know you didn't mean to put so much weight onto your "no talent" comment. I just see so many people just not pushing themselves because someone convinced them that talent matters.Β
Talented or non-talented artists will both tell you that they spend insane amounts practicing.
And... you.. have.. to.. work.. with.. what.. you.. have. So you have to find what works for you. Blender is insanely complex, and there are many ways to skin cats on it.
As for your tutorial problem. Don't beat yourself up with that. That's an easy one to fix. Practice doesn't make perfect. Perfect practice does.Β
Tutorials never work, I have that same problem. The minute the tutorial is over, I'm blank. Which is why when I find online classes and tutorials of skills I need to learn, I scan through them to get a sense of the scope.Β Then I dream up something of my own and using the tutorial as a guide of sorts. That way your brain constantly has to think how to adapt to the situation, and you have something concrete to anchor it to in you memory.

Blender's new render engine under development, you can grab a copy over at graphicall.org

I should make an effort to render some images and see what external renderer I like the most. Yafaray doesn't wanna work.

Booya! I got Yafaray to work in Linux!
b.t.w. What operating system do you run?

I use Windows. I had Ubuntu dual-booted until it ate my MBR, so I got rid of it, it's just a pain in the ass. I don't have the time, nor do I care to, search around for drivers and wonder 'can I get this to work on here', etc., so it's just not worth it to me.

The rendering speeds in Linux makes it worth the effort.
But use Linux Mint, Ubuntu is a bit hard to set up.

Sigh... your logic is like saying: "I had a bad date, I'm done with dating and will be single forever."

Dude, I'm 39 years old, I think I've played with it enough, and I went to college for Computer Science. I don't care about typing crap into a command prompt, and I just want stuff to install, open, and go. I'm not a moron, so I don't have a PC filled with viruses and malware, I just want to surf the 'net and make a few pieces of art here and there. Don't go all Linux fanboy on me, I've had it out with quite a few of those types. Use that shit all you want, I never said it was total garbage, I'm just tired of dicking around with it, and that's what you have to do most of the time with Linux.

Sorry , I didn't mean to hit a nerve.
And I'm not a fanboi. Own my own legal copy of Windows and all (Being a .Net developer). Was just saying that Linux Mint is highly efficient.

Hahaha! No worries, I just get sick of hearing about Linux. I just don't have time to search for info on how to get things to work, read forum posts, etc. Just not worth my time is all. As long as something I make doesn't take eons to render (Luxrender), I'm fine

I don't know about Terabyte but in one episode he merged with hexadecimal to form "Gigabyte".

I was thinking about that earlier. But she's a lot harder to model than the simple sprites I've done up to now.

I'm still wondering what to do with these models. These are good, but I'm looking for that something that makes it amazing. Hang on, I just got an idea. Thanks

I shared the same passion for the show... still do actually. There's still a few tweaks I need to do to these models... or perhaps 'upgrade' them to the modern age.
