Guys guess what, I have a new partner in crime--the very talented EarthXXII will be helping me from now on with coloring! This should make things go faster. Isn't their shading just beautiful? I probably ruined some of it when I did the final touches, but it still looks amazing imo.
Also the spirit of Bob Ross was with me when I did the backgrounds here. I just got so into it... I think I want to do more environments O.O Anyway, one more page before the brotherly ANGST begins!

My goodness. I'm so glad I stumbled in on this. I'm tempted to read the story but I feel conflicted considering that I like to see visuals as I'm reading (hello yes im 5 yer ol pls).
One thing I absolutely adore are expressions. I LOVE expressions, and girl, you got em'. Every page is so deliciously woven together and colored that I can't help but read it over and over. I have to admit, I'm seriously hooked! I hope that this new partnership with producing the comic goes well! I'll be waiting for your next page and other pieces too. Haha, makes me wish I could contribute in some way too.

Magnificent work on the first panel. It makes the Waterfall feel really vast and full of everything (like echo flowers - this one is beautiful). I am also in love with the Pap's expressions at the last panels. It seems like he doesn't actually believe it's over in the first one. You drew him the way I can see, that he KNOWS that Flowey won't let him go after this. He's does have a little hope, but this is the moment, where he's a little broken. And the last panel shows, that he was right, even when he hoped to be wrong. Perfect.

I'm so glad you got all of that out of those last panels! That was basically what I was trying to have Papyrus express, so it always feels good when the art was understood properly by readers. Also I really loved making the first panel; Waterfall sounds like a beautiful place.

OH MAN that first panel is gorgeous! The painting is beautiful! I love that echo flower.
I like how you drew Papyrus's expressions here--the thing you do with his eyesockets is a neat way of making it clear that he's looking downward without having to have his head tipped down, or having to warp his eyesockets too much. (I tend to just cheat the eyesockets and have them behave more like regular eyes. XD; ) Also I like the way you show expressions with Papyrus's mouth--tweaking the corners by his cheek bones there to show his expression. Again, a really cool and effective way of getting him to show expression without warping the skull too much.
And GOSH DANG those last two panels. I see why you pointed that out in my comic--here you used the effect amazingly well, with how the second-to-last panel is bright with Papyrus's hope, and then the last panel is noticeably darker when his hope shatters. You can feel the despair. aaaaAUUUUUGHHHSFDlk;j I want things to get better for him but this is only the beginning ;A;

I loved making the first panel. Waterfall's vegetation is so beautiful.
I really like seeing how different artists draw Papyrus's facial expressions. That thing with the eyesockets is what I settled on using here because, like you said, it doesn't warp the skull too much. Drawing Papyrus's expressions is actually one of my favorite parts of making this comic. His design makes drawing him challenging sometimes, but it's a fun kind of challenge. And I hope that if I'm able to make his face show expression, then normal human's expressions will be easier too.
I think the two-panel comparison is a very powerful tool when making comics. I'm glad it was used effectively here. Thinking about the future, I can't remember if there are ANY happy moments from here on out. Aw geez.

Yeah, there's a lot of different ways to draw Papyrus! I'm most fond of the ones that try to keep as much of his skeletal features as possible.
There are happy moments! Like, the quiche thing, and the part where Undyne comes to visit. (... not THAT time Undyne comes to visit.)
