Some fanart of DCAU J'onn J'onzz! I really fell in love with this character from how he's portrayed in the Justice League series... he's level-headed, but he's not one of those emotionless, purely logical aliens. This guy has a huge heart... I would totally go to him for counseling.(Look away now if you don't want spoilers)
In the final episode where Wonder Woman and some others find J'onn, originally he's in the form of an Asian man, then he transforms into this awesome dragon and flies up to join them. ALSO, I noticed as I was rewatching this that the backdrop to that scene was the Great Wall of China. The Justice League was fighting in CHINA? Oh, and does this mean J'onn's civilian form was a Chinese man? Either way, all this made me happy enough to draw a picture based on that.

Just re-watched the JL series recently and decided to look up J'onn here on DA. He's easily my favorite character- it's just a shame they neglected him so much in Justice League: Unlimited. Wonderful work you've done here. I've always loved this particular design for him and you did it a lot of justice. <3

While traditionally Martian Manhunter's human guise is that of Colorado detective John Jones, John Ostrader's series from the early 2000s introduced the idea that the Martian actually keeps several different identities all over the world.
While the cartoon is a different continuity, it looks like they added in the part about John having different guises.

Thank you for your comment! I'm definitely for the idea that J'onn has different identities all around the world. In the cartoon he does change into a human that looks like Detective Jones, but I guess he finds love elsewhere on Earth, in a different human identity.

That's really neat! I love how you drew the dragon, its face matches that of J'onn XD Details look fantastic and you made the green man look really cool! Even though he's only wearing underpants and a cape (It's difficult for me to take super heros serious sometimes...all the time..ssssttt) Also, great colouring job!
