Description
Aurora RisingI'm still here! haha...
Very inspired by Blade Runner, although not the same feel. Always wanted to do a huge sci fi city scape, and I had alot of fun with it. The image was made for an independent study for my English class.
Cinema 4D, Vue, Photoshop and Wacom Tablet.
I included a pretty large file for download, so if you want to use it as a wallpaper feel free!
EDIT- Woo! A DD, im honored! Thanks so much Cymae and Samuel Nordius!!!

great job - not that I'd want to liver there. I like the smoke and fog details and the colour in the shadows

I really like how the smoke plumes look like nebula rather than deadly bad stuff.

I really love this piece- everything from the building designs, to the perspective, to the lighting effects on the smoke plumes. Amazing!

Some of the craft in the picture look... inspired from spacey games and shows. and the scene reminds me of The Fifth Element

God, I could never make something like this, this is unbelievable. Great job!
P.S. Independent study, huh? Sounds like fun! Is this connected to it somehow?

Thank you very much! Yes, the independent study was to base a full environment off of one of the class books, in this case Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep AKA Blade Runner.

With alot of low level greeble buildings, in C4D, and then rendering it all in vue. some of the low detail buildings were from a daz 3d pack.

With time, I took a break between when i started and finished(as in, months) and originally I thought it was going to be trashed.
