Description So, I recently participated in a beta for this game "Rift" I got in because I played TF2 and got a hat for Rift as a random drop and went to check it out.

Its a MMORPG, a-la WoW. Its fun, i played a free trial of Wow and City of Heroes/Villains before, the three games are very similar in play...but then i guess there is a limit to how different you can make these games. I don't know. The class system is interesting on Rift. You pick a role, Warrior, Rogue, Cleric, Wizard and each role has classes that play on the archetype role. As you level you get two more "Souls" to add to your power this allows you to tweak your character by selecting a second and third class. For example this character started as a marksman, a ranged high damage class, then I added Saboteur, a class that has the ability to add damage with a little planning, and finally I chose Assassin, a stealthy melee class. The Assassin was not a recommended add, but i found myself in need of some melee power because i could not kill everything before it closed with me. The game recommends adding Ranger for this problem, allowing you a melee pet to absorb aggro, but i was not enjoying the pets for my necromancer(wizard) or Druid (cleric) so I skipped the pet on this character.

Rift is fun. You play one of two factions: Guardians are devoted to the gods of the world and uphold the laws set down by religion. When you start the game you are told by an angel that you are the reincarnated soul of a great hero and you have been brought back at a crucial time in the fight against the evil dragon Regulous.

The other faction is Defiant are the other faction, and the one that this character belonged too. They embrace technology and believe the gods of the Guardians have abandoned the world...and they may be right because when you start you are told you are a clone of a great hero and that Regulous is destroying the world. Your first mission is to go back in time to deliver the clone formula to the past so that more heroes can be cloned and prepare for the battle in the future. this story line struck me as funny because if the defiant are right, then the Guardians are just idiots.

Any way this drawing took a lot of time, not sure how much but i am pleased with how it turned out..someday I might add a background.

Defiant. the Guardians didn't impress me much...I mean they obviously fail or the Defiant wouldn't need to send your character back to fix the past, right?
