Description
The second part of the series. This time, the focus was more on the traditional elements. That also meant a lot of hours of shading, but I had some time in the last 2 weeks, since I had 10 days of vacation between winter and summer semester.
The background was made by scanning a broken piece of paper
Enjoy! And comments are really appreciated, if you have time

Ahhh good to see new work from you. This reminds me a bit of Mirrormask, where the antagonist is ripping drawings from her wall, tearing up a world in the process.

Thanks! I just wanted to use the short period between the winter and summer semester to draw something more complex, since there is no time during my studies to draw pictures like that.
I actually don't know mirrormask. The picture was probably more influenced by Escher's work, since I "read" an art book of him again, which I bought years ago. His art is really stunning, though he is not as much in detailing as I am, more focusing on basic ideas.

yeah this is the kind of thing i like, the complexities of the weird environments, and then when you have characters interacting, doing their little jobs or saying funny things. it's great. and the background here is really awesome

Thanks a lot!
The problem with such pictures is, that they take hell of a lot of time. I started to study in the end of october last year and therefore don't have too much time left for art...

your drawings continue to amaze me...ALL THE DETAILS!!! I wish I could zoom in a bit more. Heck, the drawing itself makes me feel as if I'm inside with it.

Thanks a lot, if there is enough time (which was not too often the case in the last months) I really like to draw complex pictures...
In the moment that's why I create more pictures with less characters to improve the combinations between digital background and traditional elements.
I actually already changed the width of the picture to 1280 pixels, but somehow it didn't work for the first time. Anyway, now it does Enjoy!
