Description
This biro drawing tries to express the different ways people see things. It's not just about optimism and pessimism, but also about the variety of feelings that lie in between. The world is what you expect of it.Related content

i love biro drawings, lol i really need to go back to using them.
right ok. my most major crit would be a style so this may not help, the style of hatching you are using is for buildings with straight lines, if your looking for a more natural object or even any curved one then you must not use the angled hatched which doesn't define the shape. this is most prominant on the hat. concider curving your hatching to make an object appear more 3d if you draw out areas that you want to curve in 3d line the hat using a series of ovals then you will be able to trace where the hatching should curve. have you drawn jars in art class if so remember that the base of the jar had a large oval as a guide and the top had a shallower oval based on how much you would see- remember the basics when shading.
have you tried using the biro like a pencil where you actual shade rather than hatch, it looks fantastic because you can gain beautiful subtle contrasts however it takes a long time as you are trying to minimise the lines.
anyway i know how difficult biroing is because you can't change it once you have made a mistake.
anyway hope that helps.

I actually didn't TRY to make the object look realistic. It was thought to be a comic or cartoon first... But thanks for the critique, I'll think about it
I tried to draw with pencils first, but pencil drawings don't have these extreme contrasts, which I really love.

Ooh, you have a fun and almost grim looking style. I'd love to see splashes of color in some of these though, in fact i've fiddled with doing that myself for fun. It stands to be very graphic and bold in that way. Good job!

Hey, thank you so much! I didn't really expect such a reaction, especially because my main activities concentrate on artworks NOT having anything to do with cartoons or comics. But well, that's life. And it can be quiet cool, too
