Artemis is the virgin goddess of the hunt, wild animals, and forests. The daughter of Zeus and Leto, she is the twin sister of Apollo. The symbols associated with Artemis include the crescent moon and the tools of archery; the bow and arrow.

This is so beautiful... at first the image reminded me of crop circles.. it has that eerie sort of edge to it..

Thank you! Crop-circles were one of the ideas I had in mind for under the spheres. I started in that direction, but I left it a bit vague. I still might go back and play with that idea more though...

Thanks! It's a mix between pure abstract concept and some sort of future mechanical avatars of deities. The idea was churning in my head for a long time, and finally solidified when I was working on the Poseidon piece.
Truth be told, this one was one of the hardest pieces I've done. I started with a good idea of I wanted the actual "orbs" to look, but I got lost somewhere along the way. At one point I absolutely hated it and didn't even want to work on it. Then some weeks after I worked on it one night, had a breakthrough, and all was well with the world again. It did take a lot of work though, between the 3D render, the background, and the title design. Thus the two month timeframe I posted in the description.
Hopefully the others will be easier and briefer.
