Description The idea popped in my head right as I was about to fall asleep... and of course wouldn't let me sleep until I took care of it. I'm aware the composition is both sparse and awkward, but my main concern was the shell itself. Maybe I'll take another stab at this in the future, but I seriously just wanted to get it done so I could rest.

Time: 6 hours or so.

She sells seashores bt the seashore.... that reminds me so much of a pokemon episode in which Meowth learned to talk. This really looks cool, itΒ΄s a great logo idea for a Tee. Nice detail on the shell.

Thanks! And it's funny, you're right about the T-Shirt but it hadn't occurred to me at all until you mentioned it. Now I can definitely see it on one. Maybe I'll have it printed one day.

This is one of my favourite tongue twisters. What I like about your approach is the subtle colour fades: the stripes going from a darker shade to one that's a bit lighter, and the inner part of the shell being lighter than the outer part. I would have probably used this to make the shell look more threedimensional, but onfortunately, I haven't mastered this technique yet. Do you know if it can be done in Photoshop?

I could brush it to look three-dimensional in Photoshop in about 5-10 minutes. But then it wouldn't be a vector piece, would it. Having said that, if you carefully examine in full view, you might catch some subtle 3D shading going on...

It's hard to get the same effects from PS in Illustrator unless you really know what you're doing. And half the time it defeats the purpose. Personally I have some chops down but I'm still learning new techniques and developing my vector style. For this particular piece, I wasn't that concerned with realism as it's a conceptual piece. And like I said, I just wanted to get it over with.
