Description
The first of several old pieces I'm submitting, this one dates back six years or so. I dug up the straight render and just added the border and text in PS. I'll be the first to admit it's not exactly the greatest piece, but there are several components and ideas in it that I like. Perhaps I'll re-examine them in a future piece. For the time being, I thought someone might like it as a wallpaper. If anyone wants a fullscreen version or higher resolution, drop me a line and I'll see what I can do.Created on: Oct 18, 2000

I love the concept of this one. The egg sacks are gorgeous. I'd like to see reworks on this idea... just as long as you don't lose the creepy 'what's going to hatch out?' feeling.

I agree, I'd definitely keep the same feel to it. My only real issue with the piece is the quality of the the render and textures... I was just starting to explore 3D back then, and my inexperience combined with the level of technology could only go so far. Not that I've made any amazing strides in skill now, but at least the current technology can produce better results.
Hopefully I'll find the will to come back to this, and if so it might motivate me to shell out for a print account.

Great concept on this piece, I think it would be awesome if you decided to go back and do another of these. The first image I had was of an army marching. Overall very cool though.

It's funny, I've seen this image so many times over the past six years that it barely registers to my eye... Apparently everyone loves it though. All I can see these days is how far technology (and my skill) has improved.
I still want to do a take-two of it though, to do it proper justice.
