A sheltered girl, Ruru spends most of her time inside her home. Due to how she is raised, the jellyfish is a shy creature, especially towards new people. Ruru usually has a companion every time she goes out, who mostly will do the talking for her. However, when she is alone, she is lost. The nervousness she has around strangers also causes her to be fidgety and somehow timid. She rarely goes out by herself and has lack experience interacting with new people. Others often see her as a quiet girl and an introvert, but that is because she doesn’t really know how to interact with others properly and feels more comfortable to talk about many things with someone she already knows. She is a socially awkward.
Not wanting to accidentally sting people, Ruru is taught to be patient. Greatly patient, even. Other people will never see the girl angry, even her own family rarely sees her to pout slightly. While not easily provoked and high tolerance are her benefits, this may also cause people to underestimate or bully her for being so mushy. If she ever gets angry, most likely she bottles it up until she finds a right time to seek solace on her family member(s).
However regardless her negative traits, Ruru is actually a considerate girl. The girl is raised to be helpful within her family since she was young, so bothering and troubling people (especially stings them) is the least on her list. History:

Ruru was born without having a chance to know her biological parents. She was a single child from a couple of purple-striped jellyfish. When she was only one year old, both of her parents died from a predator attack, mostly to protect their daughter. She was saved by a male Narwhal named Kukiba and a female Archerfish, Hitomi, who were good friends of Ruru’s parents.

Since then, Ruru was adopted by Kuki and Hitomi and lived in Deep Sea Kingdom. The married couple had some difficulties in taking care of Ruru, mostly because of her tentacles stung every time the baby cried. After a few weeks, her adoptive parents discovered that Ruru would sting—intentionally or unintentionally—when she was having negative feelings (mostly when she was upset or sad). This was the main cause for the parents, especially Kuki to teach her to be (greatly) patient.

Ruru was a sheltered girl. The incident where she lost her parents made her adopted family became protective of her. She was homeschooled, and she was only allowed to go out if there was anyone as her companion. The curiosity often got the best of her that she often sneak out from her house through her window.

Often wondering why she was so different with the rest of her family, she learnt the truth about what happened to her biological parents from Kuki and Hitomi. Of course this surprised her, as she didn’t remember when it had happened. However this didn’t stop her to love her adoptive family, especially since they are more than willing to take care and love her sincerely.

    -          Has an adoptive older brother, Isamu , who is a biological son of Kukiba and Hitomi
    -          Ruru suffers a color blind. Her adoptive mother helps her especially in dressing and crafting
    -          Apparently she keeps furniture from her parents’ house, or use it as crafting materials
    -          She does her work in her home, another reason why she rarely goes out
    -          She dislikes jellies and any dish which contains gelatins, because she feels as if she is eating her own kind
