The young officer Mona Hansen would never dream of defying or questioning her new master. Still, in quieter moments, she pondered if her newfound authoritarian mindset was more than just the byproduct of the mind control she was under. Sure, all the Sleepwalkers possessed an unquestioning obedience to orders and hierarchical way of thinking, but she believed the brainwashing actually drew out a part of her that she only faintly felt the presence of before.

Mona found herself truly relishing the idea of unifying the women of Engine City behind Hypnoman. And as one of the Dream Police, she could only imagine how she might help make his vision a reality.

She pictured herself arresting female journalists, writers, bloggers, and other media personalities to be brought in for brainwashing. She’d be playing her part in ensuring that a secretive regime of censorship took hold over the press in Engine City.

She imagined herself taking arrested female suspects into police cars with hypnotic lights that sapped their wills whilst they sat in the backseat handcuffed. Drug offenders, gang members, arsonists, even murderers. No matter their crime, the mind warping lights would make them ‘pure’ in her eyes.

The suppression of dissent among the city’s women was something she saw herself joyfully taking part in. She saw herself acting as an enforcer in the secret world that all the women of Engine City would soon be a part of.

She saw herself as being an instrument of order in the police state that Engine City was to become, without its men being any the wiser.

Mona’s purpose in that world would be simple: to protect the new order and serve Hypnoman.
