So many things working against this concept. LOL. First, the idea of drawing that fugly "Son of Godzilla" version of the big G. It's not my favorite version of him, and it probably shows!

Redmoon was a kaiju that needed a dramatic look. I could have went with his "Goliath" look from Diagoro vs Goliath, but he looks short and stout. Godzilla would kick him like a soccer ball. I did keep Goliath's electricity horn, but rather than have it just spark up, I went for an electric beam, to up his threat factor.

Erabus on the other hand was a straight use of Daigoro's mom from that movie, with very minor tweaks. I actually think she makes for an interesting kaiju, so I retained her basic look, rather than going with the weird "My Little Pony/seahorse thingy" from the illustration (img2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20… ).
