I love the idea behind this whole series, and your drawings really look amazing. It begs the question of exactly how low tech a machine can a transformer scan.

Nope - this was designed before HoS was announced (I even sent copies of my Renaissance TFs to Chris Ryall when IDW first announced it would be putting out alternate time period TF stories to see what he thought of them).
Apparently when his Megatron design was unveiled, people wrote to Guido, commenting on the resemblance of his design to mine. His reply on the forum was that he'd never seen mine before and the similarity is just a product of the fact that there's not that many ways you can transform a cannon into Megatron (which is true - I did three designs for this piece and they all looked pretty similar)

Several people have mentioned that - I'd imagine the limited options for making a robot into a cannon shape mean any design on that theme would look similar.
