I hope the colours are allright... I remembered that it was a night scene, i just REALLY hope its not too dark.

That be one BIG fox. It's hard to tell but, is it a dog or a vixen? (From the shape of the head, I'd say a dog but I could be wrong.)

I don't think it seems to dark. The anatomy looks great.
I like the way you omitted lines in some sections of the fur, it makes it look more natural, but I wonder why you don't use it more. The tip of the tail and perhaps some of them on his on the back I think would benefit from the same technique. I think you missed color in his left foot and claws.
I think it was a good choice to make this happen at night. It really brings the focus down to the fox's face. Couldn't really have done that to the same effect if it was brighter. The shading looks good too. Nice job with the expressions and overall it is very cute.
