Description
in an attempt to get myself warmed up for some photoshop coloring i did this little quickie (which honestly wasnt too quick) for a warm up. i might slap in a background later but for now, i like the way the shading turned out, used som new techniques for this too. I love coloring like this because then i can preserve the orgininal (and in my opinion more delicate) sketch.Related content

you can get it at computer stores like best buy or the apple store if you have a mac, you can also go to a college campus store (if you're a student" and get a student's edition. Photoshop is an insanely expensive program if aquired legaly, my copies are legal, however there are people who can give you the program in a less legal manner, I don't know of anyone who does, but I know there are people out there. There is a "free"version of it out there too called Gimp which im told acts just like photoshop. I will admit though If you want to "draw" in photoshop i reccomend a tablet, some people work brilliantly with a mouse, yay for them, but its not for me, a mouse cannot use "penpreassure" like a tablet can which is why i prefer the more natural use of the tablet, again, they are quite expensive. My advice to you is to keep with traditonal media for as long as possible, I have fallen into a rut with my artwork to where its all produced digitally for the most part and although its clean and crisp looking I think it tends to loose something in the process from pencil on paper to celshaded colour. All you really need is a good scanner and lots of practice, not to say photoshop isn't for you, but that because of its expense, you're better off honing realmedia skills first before you buy a program and potentially a tablet that will put you about 2,000 in the hole
