Description
Even when the times seem most grey, when the world seems to suffer from an everlasting sadness, I know we have not yet lost. I know, when you're by my side, that we can keep going, we will fight. And we will win.For dA-Fantasy-Animals 's Valentine's exchange, this one is for Ziirux , featuring her characters Ziirux (the dragonfox) and Xyrona (the dragon). My my, these two have tons of details, I hope I haven't forgotten anything, though that could very well be. I had no idea what story I should make with this, but then I got an idea when I saw my dear charcoal asking to be used. Inspired by her latest work:

I really like all the vibrant colors and surrounded by achromatic ones.
I've noticed that you've used charcoal for the background. I try from time to time to time to use it, mostly at the art college, and it is quite difficult to use,
especially at the first time

It can be quite difficult to use indeed, mainly because it might smudge when you don't want it to. The only things I do to avoid that is always applying it in the end of the process and using hairspray to fixate it when I'm done to avoid further smudging of the finished piece. I do love charcoal though.

I tried shading with charcoal only, and I'm actually quite happy with it. ^^
It's just more difficult to get into the details, but for bigger parts it's fantastic.

asddghkkkaajsdkajakjasdrnbdsubx You. Drew. Their. Designs. PERFECTLY! You even remembered Xy's scar on the tail ;w; Okay, Xy actually has 7 stripes on her tail but whatever
I absolutely love what you have done. Zizi's pose and expression are simply magnificent. The colours on the wings hnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnggg. There should be a light brown colours after the dark brown but I'm too happy to complain I just love it how you drew them both. It was a marvellous idea to place Zizi in front of Xy. Maybe Xy should be a tiny bit bigger and have a slightly longer neck but I love the way you drew her design anyway. And the poem thingy...I am in love! It's exactly how they live. Ahhhhhhh, I think I'm running out of words. I mean, the shading, the poses, the expressions, EVERYTHING! And even if the background is simple, it fits perfectly with the whole thing and the title is just pure perfection.

Glad you mentioned the shading! I tried to do all shading with charcoal this time. Unfortunately one of my charcoal pencils broke during the process, but it was worth it.
