Wow...how do you knot in a circle? Especially the outermost knot work. I'm trying to do something similar in a commission, but it's a bit tricky.

Well, I often use a grid to do the knotwork. In a circle or curve, I just fit the grid inside the curves. And I use a compass to divide the circle into even parts. (sorry this reply is so late!)

I hand draw the original (I use an adapted grid for a lot of the knotwork) and then I scan and re-create it digitally to make it cleaner.
