Code Geass - Revival[Episode- R2 13]
Lot of people doubted I could find something funny about this more recent episode. It did have a rather depressing end. I got it done by Wednesday.
Well, point in fact that I had the idea for this one when I first watched the RAW version. I just needed to wait for the subtitles to get the dialog that I needed.
To set the scene. General Bartley is showing Cornelia around. V.V. shows up, but before he can finish talking she throws a dagger into his head, but he quickly revives.
I'm happy I came up with this idea. I really looked forward to drawing Cornelia with her sexy new look.
I noticed something last minute recently. It looks like Cornelia's left arm is strapped to her outfit. I'm not sure if she can move it at all just yet. I had to take that into account with this 4koma. I guess she hasn't completely healed yet.
The hardest part about drawing this one was just getting her expressions right. I was going for a confused/interested look. Like she's thinking, "Why wont he die?".
I almost didn't put Bartley into this comic. Last minute I decided to add him. Just seemed wrong to keep him out of this scene since he was there in the show. I just love how at the end he's tired of waiting.

I don't read/watch (which one?) Code Geas, but I always look forward to your comics here about it.
I just sniggered an laughed in silent, but this is so subtle and humorous I couldn't keep silent anymore.
I like how you put alot of effort into these strips. And this one is only better then the last ones!
I like Cornelia's new look, too. But I so like V.V. (I don't know who everyone is, but it's great!

Yeah, if you haven't seen the anime these are based on you will miss a level to the joke.
I find most anime themed 4koma, while well drawn at times, don't put a lot of effort in setting the scene. Mine closely imitate an events or a scene that is in each episode these are based upon.
Code Geass is an anime. It just resently started to be shown on the Adult Swim programming, but that's season one. These 4koma are based on season two.

I like the comic a lot, but I think you might be well served by trying out a different font family for the dialogue. One I really like is Gosmick Sans, which you can grab free at dafont.com.

the ending of the eps really was sad though, despite how much I liked shirly, I didn't really shed any tears though, probably becuase Orange Kun had me going fuck yeah when someone finally called Lelouch "highness" XD
