YEY! They decided to go on with the fillers apparently. They were suppose to end after the first two episodes after the time skip, but now they're on the fourth episode!

I liked that episode as well. It reminded me at waht happened at my uncles wedding few years back. I spent the whole thing trying not to laugh. Sad thing is no one was trying to be funny.

A filler is slang for an episode of an anime that has nothing to do with the manga story. It's a small story within the major story. Basically, it's filling space.

It's more like that the anime needs a new episode every week. In Japan the anime is on once a week with new episodes. Sometimes with short breaks. Not like in the US where new episodes could be months away.

The problem is that one episode of the anime equals up to be two to three chapters of the manga. Since teh manga is one chapter a week that means that the anime would catch up to the manga and they would have to stop animating to give the manga time to get ahead.
The writers and producers for the anime animate to the end of a story arc and then ussually fit in some fillers. Naruto for example. Every episode from about 130(Not sure of the exact number episode) to 219 are all filler. After fillers the characters ussually never call back to those events. Unless until a future filler episode.
Bleach was a little different. Ther fillers was a continuous story arc. They just got back to the manga story a couple weeks ago.

O....I didn't read all of dat but I do understand now! But hmm....new episodes come on only on Saturday but they rerun the old episodes. Right now the new episodes are the Sasuke and Naruto vs. Gaara episodes while the ones during the week are only at the Chuunin exams. So when the week played episodes get to where the new episodes are at then....what?

Actually, in Japan they are up to 221 episodes. There they have a new episode once a week. Bleach is up to 115.

O.....like where I live (in America) we're only up to episode 75 which is really pathetic. But I've been watching the episodes on youtube and I'm up to only 154, but I'm getting there!

But back to fillers. So they're basically filling up the space between major events or what again? Just for a review!
