*TheRoguez commissioned me to knit her character Obi, the aardvark (see below for thumb). My first attempt at making such a strange little critter, and I think he's come out fairly well especially since I was making the pattern up as I went along!

At the moment, no, at some point, hopefully.
I often misplace my knitting notebooks (I have five) and that one is currently somewhere, once found, I hope to put this and a few other patterns up. Including the Benji Bunny (I see you enquired about him too!)
In regards to making your own patterns, seriously, just play about with the wool. Note what you do, as you do it, and if it comes out right - great, if not, its something else you've learned. Its taken a few years before I could go 'I want an aardvark' and then just produce it right first time.

If he was grey and had a shell, he'd look like an armadillo. I'd almost bet that I'll find an armadillo in your collection, but then again, it might be a safer bet that armadillos haven't made it onto your radar yet.

They have, just not had the reason to make one. I'm in a predicament were theres a million things I want to make, but not a million places for me to store my plushies, or a million people who would exactly want something as random as an armadillo...

The anatomy is about as close to a real aardvark as you can get with a plush, unless you want to be super anal and reconstruct the back legs. I think he's awesome though!

Eeehehehe he is so adorable! I love those ears and his tail. It must take a lot of time and patience to create a fella like this.
Would you possibly be up for a trade? I have some supersculpy and I could create a critter sculpture like the nidoking in my gallery (but a lot better, ive been practising). I can make any creature from pokemon to dragon to a ordinary lion. I like make them practical, so maybe I can make you something to help hold your stuff(or something).

Thanks for the comment and fav! It does take quite a bit of time and patience when knitting anything, though I find knitting plushies a lot less tiresome than jumpers!

Really beautifully done. I'm always in awe of people who can knit - it seems so hard to a crocheter! The claws are brill but I find the eyes a little scary.
