Updated to 1960x1470 resolution when downloadedFrom my Compass Formula for Ultra Fractal.
The motive is an illustration in my journal Ghostlike shadows of the Mandelbrot set.

I like to see those areas with such extreme density, like close to a "bulb" or cardoid of the Mandelbrot set. Β That and having a distorted Mandelbrot set shape so close to it makes it a favorite for me. An interesting render

For sure you are right This formula allows non-integer exponents and may produce very weird results. See my journals Fractal Compasses and Ghostlike shadows of the Mandelbrot set

I just swallowed my tongue and put my self into a transcendental stage and came up with the weird exponent which gave rise to this [link] parent fractal Then I performed a zoom sequence that you can follow step by step if you go to my gallery or click the links in the beginning of my journal [link]
