Saw this thing in a dream last night. I was underwater and there were a bunch of them floating on the surface with their legs spread out perpendicular to their bodies. They must have some funky-ass shoulder and hip anatomy, to be able to do that and still look like that. I don't think cats can do that.

They had bare skulls for heads. They were about the size of a typical housecat or a medium sized dog, like a golden retriever. I can't remember which. I didn't feel at all threatened by them. In fact, one of them started following me around, like any old cat. It was pretty friendly, actually.

I have no idea what they were doing out in open water like that. The only rationalization I can come up with is some kind of shelter trap. Wait for fish to hide under the shadow they cast and then catch them. Of course, I didn't think this during the dream, only after I woke up.
