Description Oooooooo, all dark and sinister sounding.

I made this using what I guess would be a variation of the Claire Jones technique I used in the last three fractals. Instead of using the Julian variation, I replaced it with the Julia3Dz variation. I also removed the blur variation step. I'm pretty sure that's okay.

I think it turned out rather well. It reminded me of Dante's vision of hell. Hence the name. I didn't bother checking to see how many "levels" are actually in it.

I can see why this is your most faved, it does have a great feel to it, and looks like it could be a version of hell from a great distance

Ah, yeah. That's pretty much what I thought when I made it. And I still like it, it's certainly not a bad fractal. But I didn't spend that much time on it, and I kinda wish people would bother looking at my other art. I have other fractals, which I'm sure you noticed, and at least some of them should appeal to the people who like this one. :/

Thanks for the fave though!

Well, I use Apophysis, but I understand there are other programs you can use. This guy has a permanent link in his journal where you can download Apophysis, if you're interested in making them. [link] His fractals are also much better than mine.

You'll have to fiddle around with the different tools to really make good fractals. I think there may be a few tutorials here on dA, though.

They are pretty awsome... this might sound like a stupid question but can you make 2d fractals... just im looking at your dantes inferno and i would LOVE that if it was flat on as a tattoo... any chance i could ask you for it?

Actually, it seems I can't. I would need an older version of the program, or a 3d version with the variations I used to make that fractal. If the program doesn't have those variations, it wont render the fractal. So I can't get you a flat version. I'm sorry. But I will hold on to the params, in case I get what I need.

It was actually originally flat. I did something to it to make it 3D. I could easily make it flat for you.

I'd have to go download Apophysis again, though, since I deleted it when I stopped making fractals. After that, it'll take a little while for the image to render, but I should have it up for you today. Besides, it might be fun to start playing with fractals again.

Nevermind that other reply saying I couldn't do it. I found an older version and I can render it flat now. I should be done pretty soon. And feel free to do whatever you want to it.

Thanks!

dA's watermarks will do that, and I haven't taken the time to make my own watermark yet. :/

Cool Fractal! I like your gallery.

p.s.- Thanks for putting my 'Ancient Pilots' in your collection. I thought everybody was politely ignoring my line art.
