Look friends! Improvement!Why does it have green spines? Because it's rebeling against society's rules.
Hopefully this gives a better idea of what it looks like. Colors are not necessarily accurate, because the creature's supposed to be extinct. Nobody knows exactly what it would look like. That's just a guess based on supposed habitat.
Yes, it plans to eat that egg. That's why it's a thief.

I really like the way you handled the modelling of the figure here; the shadows and highlights give it a much more volumetric sense of dimensionality than your last couple of digital pieces. Nice work!

Thanks. I used a different brush tool for this one. It's easier to shade with it, though I still need practice.
I think the darker colors might have contributed to the sense of depth.

Yeah, definitely...The darker values, and then the lights pop out more by contrast. Looked like you were getting some midrange tones in there as well...Just looks better overall.

Still need to figure out clouds, though. Originally it was going be an open background, but I fail at rendering clouds thus far. So I went with a forest interior.

I imagine that I shouldn't have too much trouble doing an expansive environment, aside from a few things. At least, not much more than this kind gave me.
