I understand that kids shouldn't be allowed on the internet.But most people are harsh to them to get them out of the net by commenting things like "Get the f*** off,kid" "stfu kid,pls get out :3" or stuff to offend them like "maybe you are 11.that is why you are stupid

Maturity isn't the point - you can get BANNED from DA of you're below the age of 13. If you have 11 or 12 year old friends on Deviantart, then they should at least be warned that they are violating TOS and can be banned. I'm not trying to be mean, but the fact is these big websites like DA, Youtube, Tumblr, etc don't give a flying FUCK if you're mature or not, as long as you're 13 or older.

that's your opinion, and i can understand if kids go on child friendly sites like animal jam or poptropica, but a kid under 13 shouldn't be in sites like here on dA, youtube, tumblr, and the like. it's not because we're being mean, but kids could encounter hackers, cyberbullies, trolls, or possibly even pedophiles in disguise. not to mention, kids could find adult content (aka porn)
plus most underage kids who manage to create a deviantart are usually very immature and tend to even steal others art and are banned in no time, so they should also be kept away from creating trouble.
im not trying to be rude, im honestly just trying to state the facts.

i hate it when people on this website (or in the youtube comments section, for that matter) say stuff that you can't understand at all in the slightest. like for example "UHMMMM!!! (an uhmm is used to stall for time in reality, on the internet you can easily just do it without typing it and nobody is the wiser!) THIS IS COPY-WRITE! Kids sites are one thing, but other sites like youtube and deviantart aren't meant for 7 year olds...
Not only because of inappropriate content (although that's a valid reason) but because it's painful for everyone when a kid decides to make minecraft letsplays or a "manga"...

Well, most of the internet. there are plenty of kids' games and sites on the internet, as in, Animal jam, Club penguin, WolfQuest (yes, Β WolfQuest it designed to teach people, espesially kids, so it counts.) and more. I guess it really just depends on where the kids are on the internet.

More specific, please? Kids can go on Club penguin or Animal Jam because it's intended for kids. What if you need to go on for school? Some sites are intended for 13+ but allow children. It is very easy to lie about your age, so it's a problem we can't fix.

I seriously don't get the appeal of why anyone would want to join these sites at such a young age. Browse around? Sure. Nobody gives a shit if you do that. The law is just for people making accounts on websites. And really, is it that unreasonable? Look at all the 9 year-olds and what-not on Youtube, Facebook, dA... I mean seriously, what the hell are you gonna post when you're 9? Chances are you will only end up embarrassing yourself when you look back years later, and irritating everyone else in the process.
Aside from a kids' game/website that I had permission to be on, and Facebook when I was 12 (I skipped a grade so all my friends were legal and had one, so I had a reason to get it), I didn't have any accounts anywhere until I was a teenager. I was 15 when I got dA. And honestly, I didn't care. I don't see why anyone would care. I think the only reason that kids even bother to go on these sites is because they aren't supposed to, so they seem 'cool' and 'edgy', when really most of them don't really contribute anything and just annoy everyone else (I'm aiming this mostly at the kids who run around shouting "i 1st used da internet at FIVE!" "no way I used it at 3!!1!" "I watched dis video and I'M ONLY NINE! 
But yeah, sorry, I don't really care what anyone says - if you're not at least in middle school (or about 12+) you're probably not mature enough to handle most websites to the fullest extent. Aside from kids' websites/games, it's not meant for people younger than that. You can lie about your age all you want but that doesn't change that fact.
Not saying this to be mean, I just don't think people younger than 13 or so realize this, and they just end up embarrassing themselves.
