Description
In 2008, a gigantic animal of unkown origin appeared in Manhattan and by virtue of its enormous size and disorientation, proceeded to destroy large portions of the metropolitan area. Codenamed "Cloverfield" by the United States Department of Defence (DOD), extensive footage of the creature's actions has been recovered from numerous citizens and professional photojournalists. Between its actions, and the subsequent attacks by apparently parasitic, tick-like creatures that fell off the larger being, many citizens were killed and a full evacuation of the city was ordered. Whether the larger animal is something that originated due to mutation caused by radiation from a crashed satellite, or it represents an organism that was lying dormant on the sea floor for millenia remains uncertain. It is also very likely that this animal is merely a juvenile as indicated by its relatively short face, large eyes, clumsy, awkward movement, and spindly appendages. What and where the adult may be is unknown. The scale bar here is an estimate and may need changing. Thanks for looking as always!Related content

When you think of this creature as just a hatchling, it's almost sad, the poor thing must have been terrified.

I remember watching special features for this and one of the designers said that Clover was just a baby. Really cool design!

as shown on this picture, its length does not looks look much like its 1200ft long but instead looks more like it has to be nearly 500ft long like said in this: (www.imdb.com/title/tt1060277/f…

but this might be already the exact shape & the measurements of 1200ft seemed random while other pictures like Neville Page's concept art were shown something like this.

I always thought the design for the Cloverfield creature was cool, but made no sense for a creature of its purported size. The proportions look more suitable for a small or man-sized creature instead. Godzilla is at least massively built, in all of his incarnations.

Clover was about 106 meters tall. 4 meters taller than female MUTO and 4 meters smaller than the new Godzilla. Imagine the adults

If you follow the viral marketing and expanded universe, clover is grotesquely oversized do to feeding off of seabed nectar, the main ingredient in Tagruato's (the company that woke up Clover) drink Slusho, which Rob works for and even wears a shirt of. So TL;DR Clover's parents likely look
Like midgets next to him.

I'd say maybe 700-900 something feet tall it would certainly hurt Godzilla probably severly but the King would dominate given his atomic breath is around as powerful as a nuke in some films

the last time a monster tried to swallow godzilla it ended up with a explosion and a lot of monster flesh around a city

So what if Clover grows up to be a thousand feet tall as he reaching adult stage & also tries to eat Godzilla for breakfast while growing up so that the Godzilla will be able to fit into Clover's mouth?

so what if clover as an adult tries to swallow godzilla(esp. the 2014 version) whole if the size of the adult is as big as the eiffel tower, empire state building or a tall mountain?

titanlizard In reply to Pyro-raptor [2014-08-06 20:22:59 +0000 UTC]
Well, Godzilla in the new film was about 106 meters tall, or a little bit more. Clover (the baby) had almost the same size.To swallow a whole 2014Goji I think the adult Clover needs to be 3 times as big as him (possibly its belly is very felxibel like at amphibians and some fish)

Pyro-raptor In reply to titanlizard [2014-08-07 04:42:59 +0000 UTC]
so couldn't 3 times bigger might be enough to swallow the godzilla whole if the director has said & if the adult clover is as big as the empire state building, wouldn't it have a hard time moving due to its bones so that it'll easily starve as this uses a lot of energy since larger animals need more food so this will make the adult a remorseless eating machine trying to devour the Godzilla whole(desperately & irresistibly) & also gobble up any other giant kaiju which appears smaller in size to it so as to satisfy its hunger?!

Suprisingly we dont know anything about the biology of Clover species, how can they exactly move with a heavy weight like theirs even if their legs are relativly slim.
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Pyro-raptor In reply to titanlizard [2014-08-07 15:09:25 +0000 UTC]
since their legs are relatively slim, wouldn't the size of over 300 meters & above be unable to match its body structure so if clover who is fully grown is as big as the eiffel tower or the empire state building or a tall mountain, wouldn't it be comparable to a giant handicapped old man without a walking stick as Clover would feel pain while moving since Clover will have hard time moving due to its bones & wouldn't its bones snap if about to grow up to be that size so its durability is no match for the exceeeding size?

I believe that if you think about it biology can't allow such behemoths to inhabit Earth by the time the biggest animal ever existed is the blue whale and it's not bigger than 30 meters in length.
We might think that 30 m. is a pretty big size
but as I know the smallest of the kaijus is the baby Cloverfield and after him there is Karloff which is 60 m. I think.

If Clover was really 350ft tall as a newborn baby, I believe it will eat Godzilla & the mutos alive when it grows up as an adult(which is bigger than the Eifel Tower)!!!!

You know I have read somewhere that Clover didn't had a second pair of arms, but those were some sort of tubes that came from his/her chest and used to suck like a some sort of vacuum little creature like humans to feed.
I don't know how true this information is, but I still prefer this version with extra limbs and you did a very good job with this skeleton !
