I used to bitch about the costume in the first Amazing Spider-Man and saying that it's possible to design a Spider-Man costume for a film that both sets it apart from Raimi's version and stays true to the comics. A fellow deviant by the name of Sturkwurk [link] went ahead and proved what I was saying by making this incredible costume in Poser. So, I find it kinda funny that the NEW costume for the upcoming sequel to Amazing Spider-Man is virtually identical to this one.Related content

I actually did us that morph. The other morphs distort it. That's actually as "gone" as I can make the navel. lol I was gonna fix it in Photoshop, but I honestly just forgot about it until you just mentioned it.

Very cool Fred! I actually forget those little touch-ups all the time myself. You spend a bunch of time nitpicking your render and re-rendering it so many times that you forget the specific areas you had set aside in your mind as "needs post-work." Then you submit the thing and look at it later and.. "Oh shit.. I forgot to fix that spot. Oh well, next time." Spidey is one of my favorite superheroes of all time right next to Batman and Punisher. I have to agree about Amazing Spiderman's costume, I really hated it. I think Raimi's version was superior in its overall design but the tighter fit of ASM's costume looked better on the actor. If only they didn't make the material look like it was basketball rubber, and that hideous leg stripe...eugh.

Here's a link to an image of the suit being used in Amazing Spider-Man 2, in case you haven't seen it yet.Β They've addressed the concerns fans had overΒ the one they used in the first one.Β Looks much better.Β Not identical to the Raimi version, but very nearly.Β So glad they did this.

Oh wow! That suit is MUCH better than the first ASM. Looks like something right off the page of the comics.

The entire look of this movie really puts me in mind of Ultimate Spider-Man, which is actually they only way they could possibly justify rebooting the series so soon after Raimi's films.
