Description
Went with a more dinosaurian anatomy for this godzilla. Didnt want him to have those thunder-thighs either.Bottom, large sketch was basically seeing if I could make Godzilla using different parts of other dinosaurs. Sort of went Frankenstein there...
(not a fan of the spikes either)
Top design was made with a friend's input in mind. He's not a big fan of Godzilla's traditional look so I had him give me instructions on what his preferred Godzilla take would look like based on his aesthetics.
Middle right is of a more slim and fit Godzilla, one that's able to fight against Titans (AOT) and Evangelions with easy maneuverability while still being juuust powerful enough for them to be a challenge.

If Godzilla was in Jurassic World, what would he be a hybrid of?

If you're going on just physical appearance, probably some type of stegosaur for the plates, with ankylosaurid dermal scutes, with a base megalosaur or allosaur for the extra claws.Β Perhaps a sauropod for the extended tail length and thick legs.Β That should work well considering JW's Lego-Genetics, but that's my two cents.

On the middle right, is that godzilla attacking humans? If so, is your version of Godzilla much smaller than movie versions of itself (almost the size of a human)?

This and the 1999(1998?) american design look way cooler than the mainstream design. They look sleek, reptilian, animalistic, the mainstream version looks like a flabby humanoid.Β

Hey, would you mind if I used this as a reference for my own Godzilla design? Of course, you would be given proper credit.

Throwing Zilla into this was a nice nod to how the director made '98 Godzilla as a battle against The Lost World, and you also made your own rendition of Godzilla as a dinosaur. Personally, this has the look of "the stage before Godzillasaurus became Godzilla", yet it is still original in every way. Now if only someone could spend the time to put this beaut into The Isle.

isn't this exactly what everyone today is saying was wrong with the original american godzilla?
I mean I like this guy but

I have to say this is one of the most realistic designs for Godzilla I ave seen where he does look Dino-like while maintaining traditional looks. Β
