Pardon my white voids.
Lines, flats, and values done in Sketchbook Pro. Colors edited in CS3.
Started as a sketch practicing anatomy stuff. I tried.

Auuuuuugh, this is so gorgeous! I love the grounded feel of the character with that one foot lifted as if mid-step, that's just absolutely beautiful. <3

Thanks! I appreciate your take on the body language I chose. 'Grounded' probably is the best word for what I was going for. I pretty much just wanted her to look less like she was posing and more natural.

Yeah, it's definitely a hard thing too to make a character look like they're really standing IN a plane, so extra kudos, man! <3

If by surrendering you mean giving up halfway through, then yeah. Maybe. Haha. But seriously, a lot of times after working to perfect one part of an image I don't feel like going any further with it. Especially when it's just a simple pose. Plus, I don't mind white voids. I just know backgrounds are more appealing.
