Description
"I would like to think that somewhere between full-blown, howling death and a basket of newborn kittens exists a climate where the malice and the mirth can mingle. A couple of daisies on your grave, a little venom in your cocoa, some broken glass in your bouncy castle. This type of polar mixer can serve as an intriguing, endlessly entertaining, true-to-life foundation from which a smidgen of lore can grow. Exaggerate the extremes even a little, and the stories, characters, and places that emerge warp accordingly" Aesop RockA portrait in progress of a fellow artist and steadfast friend.

Truly excellent work, Danielle.
His hands feel a little flat, but I'm proud that you finished it.

I have much work to do on this piece still . I never rendered his hands or left forearm properly, and many encircling fetuses still await the atmosphere of this portrait. The hand on Derek's portrait was at a rather abarrent angle. My photographic references did not serve me well despite the measures taken to make it convincing. I look forward to finishing both! Thank you for the critique
, coming from a master!
