Description I did this after I finished my Famicom Medley. This is all the heroes of Nintendo's Disk System games, drawn in pen and ink, scanned and coloured in Photoshop.

The lineup... from top to bottom...
Link (Legend of Zelda 1+2), Fighter Hayabusa (Pro Wrestling), Hero of Time Twist, Takamaru (Nazo no Murasamejou), Anata (Famicom Tantei Club 1+2), Samus+Metroid (Metroid), Pit (Kid Icarus), Donbe (Shin Oni Ga Shima), Goku (Yuu Yuu Ki)

Your art is fantastic, I've away been a fan of they way you would draw classic Nintendo characters since the good old days.

Would you be interested in participating in a fanart contest of mines?

Mario appears on the Famicom medley. The idea was just to have characters who debuted on the system.

Oh shush! I meant he at the time ^.^ well he looks very cool, I would prefer him over Marth in Brawl but I still prefer Eirika over any other swordie user.

Is Takamaru's game american? She looks vicious.

He. He looks vicious. And no, Takamaru's an apprentice samurai from a Japan-only Famicom Disk System game called Nazo no Murasamejou (Murasame's Mysterious Castle).

It was the second original game on the Disk System, following The Legend of Zelda, making him older than Samus and Pit. I really wanted him in Brawl! He can vanish, shoot lightning, swordfight, throw fireballs and ninja weapons... He'd have been perfect!

The one near the top? That's the unnamed protagonist of Time Twist: Rekishi no Katasume de... - a disk system text adventure.

I'd like to know more about several characters portrayed in this picture, if that's alright. (I can't find Yuu Yuu Ki on Wikipedia).

The only games I've played for the Famicom Disk system were "Paltena no Kagami" (Kid Ikarus JP version), which strangely had a save feature instead of a password feature and Doki Doki Panic (now that game will make you cuss like a truck driver!).

Gotta love the classics. Very nice work here, especially using some of the more obscure characters.
