we are learn from mistakes. there's a quite big discuss under the original artwork (here > greenhouse girl ) about lack of Mature Filter. I'm higly concerned about poor kids that migh be violated by the view of female body with only nipples covered and no sign of vagina (or shoud I say 'bajingo' or 'va-jay-jay'?). someone even reported it, but uh, those lazy admins didn't found it filthy enough to force me to put Mature Filter on it. shame on you admins!
so I learned my lesson and I made 3 censor types that I'll be using from now so everyone will be pleased. can't decide which one I like the most, if you could vote for your favourite one then it will be helpful let's make deviantart a better place!

now for real. some of you noticed that I started to make these funny heart censors for private parts (GENITALIAS!!! :U ) at my drawings. or sometimes I don't. why? why can't I just put mature filter at every picture that contains a nipple? because I don't find it wrong. that's why. I believe that female nipples are as appropriate as male nipples. I believe that human body is beautiful and natural and we shoudn't be shocked by view of breast or butt, we shouldn't tread it as something wrong. It's what we are. So if the character at my picture is not shown in sexual pose then I'm just placing heart stickers on private parts. Seems legit for me. But if the picture has a nudity and sexual themes then I'm putting mature filter on. Deviantart is allowed for userd 13 y/o and above so we are not talking about toddlers exposed for the view of nude people. well, even not real people only drawn ones! 13 y/o kids seen worse things, even here at dA, than naked girl with covered nipples and no vagina. it's not vulgar. it's just the body.also if dA staff members rejected the report then it means that I didn't violated service policy. To leave no doubt - I do respect service policy which says that if I want to post drawings that contain nude characters then genitalias have to be covered. here's your appropriate banana

nudity + no sexual theme = heart sticker on genitalias
nudity + sexual theme = Mature Filter on
my english is not fluent enough to start a discussion about using nudity in our society and positive/negative aspects of that. feel free to discuss, but I'll not join you, I made my statement about using censor in my art above. And be like Bill

Honest'y I doubt you have to put the heart stickers on at all. If you don't put them on a mans chest it should be the same for a woman. I get how the social aspect isn't there yet, but we're on our way.

I remember when I was a kid I saw the undressing scene in Harold and Kumar and my father immediately changed the channel to a vietnam war documentary where a guy got his leg blown off by a landmine. I don't get that reasoning. "My kid just saw a man get his leg blown off by a landmine and watch while he screamed and cried for his mother for 5 minutes as the medic futilely tried to save him before bleeding out and dying: but thank God little Daniel didn't see a pair of boobs, that might have fucked him up in the head a little!"
If I was a parent, I would rather my kid see boobs than the worst humanity has to offer in the brutality of war. I will never understandind the sexphobic, puritan folly of man.

with the last image i always wonder why male nipples are okay but female nipples are not. we seems to go out of our way to cover them up at times.

I love everything about this, specifically the idea that the body is beautiful, and that a woman's nipple is not any more sexual than a man's. I will say though, I sort of love the Heart censors you use, simply because they are really cute. <3

I tend to just use mature filter anyway because i don't fully know what breaks rules and what offends people. Honestly i have no issues with seeing the human body and in all honesty i think sometimes cloths can be more of an issue than the actual body (i mean they make clothing thats supposed to arouse people for pitty sake).
I quit enjoy your work and i am also happy to see someone else who doesn't really find thing like a little nudity an issue.

This is why I actually respect you Fukari. A rare feet I have with Deviant Artists any more. At least you're one of the few smart enough to understand how censorship should truly work.
Nipples of both genders should never be censored at all. Genitals I'd always censor if I wish to avoid a mature filter.
Honestly, I hope Wix's acquisition will mean the end to this censor-Fritz madness.

I honestly think its stupid that we have to shelter kiddies from seeing the human body. :I If its just a nude drawing of a person standing there in a non-sexual/non-intimate pose, then it should be viewable by everyone. That individual in the drawing ain't got nothing we ain't already seen before. Either we got what's in the drawing or its what our parent(s) have.
Besides, n00ds are great for anatomy/lighting studies. :T

Wtf, people complained about the original one? The nips were censored for crying out loud. Nudity doesn't even need to be censored in art unless it is depicting sexual acts. Hell, back when I was in second grade we had to study a book in art class that had pictures that were ten times more risque than your art ever even dreamed of being. Grow up people, kids are exposed to EVERYTHING these days. Unless you lock them up in a room with no internet or TV or even books to read, then there is no way you can protect their "fragile" little minds forever. You might find that your kids are more knowledgeable about things than you even are at your age now. Hell, most kids I know now days act more mature than their parents.
Edit: Oh, I adore the original pic btw! I left her up on my notifs because she was so lovely and I wanted to have a better look when I had more time. I love dryads~ This post is hilarious too. XD

I kind of wish it had a filter just because I sometimes hop on to check my notifications (I am a watcher of yours) when I'm on campus and if anything from the deviants I watch does have the filter then I won't view it till later. Honestly, I've got a shaky view on DA's censorship. There's a lot of pictures on da that are clearly supposed to be sexual that get glanced over, but then there's art that's tasteful that gets slapped in the face for a nip. So honestly, I don't know anymore.
