Oh wow! I'm so glad I found this comic! I always knew the 'holy war' thing was wrong, but this is such a wonderful and straightforward explanation. Because this comic is to educate others about Islam, would it also be considered 'Jihad'?

yes, it's one kind of Jihad. know that Jihad is always present in muslim's life. either to struggle to guide his/her soul to the right path. or trying to explain Islam to the others or fighting evil... anything good you do where you make an effort is considered one kind of Jihad.

but i see that this story is a lot of directed for "the western people" but for me, you have better to begin by muslims.
i'm a muslim, in a muslim country, and i see this mesunderstanding all the time,
and i also saw muslims killing muslims because they think they're doing djihad...
i lost friends, and membere of my familly...
all for djihad...
BTW, let's learn something by our selves befor teaching others... the probleme is more bigger than a word misunderstood from "western".

This comic is for both muslims and non-muslims. because the basics of Islam are the same. I used English because most people using dA speak English.
I understand that so many muslims misunderstand some islamic basics because they're misled or ignorant. and this, unfortunately, makes the non-muslims see us in a wrong way.
I agree with you, we have to keep learning all the time. our beloved prophet, peace be upon him, asked us to learn and when we've learnt, to teach others.
